FGP are rural practice Chartered Surveyors and, although also advising in commercial property situations the core expertise is valuation, negotiation and settlement for the acquisition of rights across agricultural, equestrian and amenity land throughout the British Isles. The business developed in the gas, oil, electricity and water industries. More recently this has extended into the energy industries of solar, wind and gas storage & extraction.

Based in the Northwest of England, we are committed to providing the most professional, dynamic and commercially sound service to our clients all over the UK. FGP was set up in 2006 by Claire Priestner, who brings over 25 years’ of experience to the business, to act as specialist Chartered Surveyors in the utilities and infrastructure market. FGP has an ethos that revolves around representing the developer rather than the landowner.

FGP are proud of their 90% success record for voluntary settlements with landowners but also advise and represent clients through the compulsory purchase process where necessary.  Over the past 5 years FGP have specialised in Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects. This includes 6 major applications for Development Consent Orders including land referencing, due diligence enquiries, provision of plans and support in the application and compulsory purchase process as well as achieving as many voluntary agreements as possible.

Registered with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and ISO9001 and ISO14001 accredited, we manage a friendly and successful operation that is well recognised within its industry and community. FGP staff are qualified in their disciplines and provided with training programmes to maintain their qualifications. FGP provide Health and Safety training for staff and all the necessary protective equipment to comply with site policies. Support for staff includes maintaining a work life balance within a demanding workplace and pension provision for retirement.

Supporting the local community

We also feel it important to give something back to the community, supporting local charities with both financial assistance and with our time where we spend a couple of hours every Friday supporting the local community. FGP is proud to support many other local charities as a "silent giver".
