The permitted development extended rights element of the Prime Minister’s build campaign has quickly come under fire by Judicial Review. A “pre-eaction” letter has been submitted to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government. Community Action group, ‘Rights Community Action’ (RCA) claim that the new rules have been brought in without proper consultation and without parliamentary debate. Among the detailed contentions a failure to carry out an environmental assessment is cited.
